Lead Testing

Lead in paint was banned in 1978. Homes built before 1978 COULD have lead. This does not mean that all paint in every home contains lead, however, if painted before 1978 it COULD.

If the paint does contain lead, peeling paint and chips of paint that crack off could be harmful if ingested by children accidentally. Sanding paint that did have lead in it releases lead in the air through the dust. We can provide a simple service to take samples and have them analyzed to determine whether or not the paint contained lead.
